Will I receive track tuition if I request it?
Yes. TRACKCORP's instructors are experts and many of them are race champions! Our track days are designed to help drivers improve their skills on the race track.
Are Track Days safe?
Track days are a form of motorosport and motorsport can be dangerous. Cars travelling at speed can leave the track. We advise drivers to drive within their limits. Accidents can happen however they are rare. TRACKCORP track days are marshalled and have full emergency services support.
Will my car be insured?
Drivers should check with their insurance companies however when it comes to timing, the answer is usually no.
Does my car need any special preparation?
Your car will experience heavy usage on a track day. Drivers are responsible for making sure that their cars are in suitable condition to be taken onto the track. As a guide, check that vital fluids are topped up and check the condition of the engine oil.
Make certain that seat belts, the braking system and tyres are all in excellent shape.
What kind of tyres do I need?
CAMS requires that your car has either R Spec. ("semis") or slick tyres fitted in order to participate in our TRACKCORP track days. R Spec. ("semis") or slick tyres are designed to cope with significant heat and are much better suited to the track than road tyres. Examples of R Spec. ("semi") tyres are the Michelin® Pilot® Sport Cup tyre or the Dunlop DZ03G tyre.
Do I need a CAMS licence?
Yes. Obtaining your CAMS licence is not difficult however your application form can take some time to process so it is better to send in your form well before the track day. TRACKCORP track days are run under the CAMS insurance policies issued at each race circuit. CAMS requires that drivers have a minimum CAMS Level 2 Speed (2S) Licence. You will need to be a member of a car club. Please see the CAMS website (LICENSING section) for further information.
Will I be allowed to time myself?
Yes. Timing beacons on the pit wall and GPS timing devices are allowed on TRACKCORP track days.
Am I able to bring guests?
Yes. Drivers may bring non-driving guests. Guests are charged at $70 each and this includes lunch.
